Hi Kevin, That was such a tough one for us. I couldn't let Dan drive and he refused to give up driving. He didn't have a problem - according to him. So, we took the battery out of the key fob for the car - and said it must be dead. We'd have to order a new one. Of course, it never came, and he forgot. It was an on-going battle.
Thanks for sharing Janice. I considered the battery trick for my grandma, but that caused much debate among different family members. It turned into a United Nations debate, leading to the lowest common denominator winning out. In other words, nothing being done to the car, but making sure someone was around when she was at peak energy of the day and willing to take bold action if left alone.
Enjoyable reading - well done!
Thanks Joe. I appreciate it. 😀

Hi Kevin, Very interesting. . . . and certainly a very effective way to resolve the dilemma.
I've been through it with both parents. It's a careful situation. You handled it well. Thank you.
Thanks Sally. When in the moment, you never seem to know. It was so hard, especially since my dad wasn't the type to open up about his feelings.
Going through this right now. It’s not easy! Thank you for this!
Sorry to hear that Jon. It’s so hard. I feel for you. 🙏
