Susie, your paragraph about letting friends go resonates deeply with me. Another friend died this week, unexpectedly (? cancer returned and he was gone one week later). For decades, he was like a brother to me, very much part of my life story. And yet, much to my surprise, I am at peace. I think I, too, am learning to let my friends go when and where and how they choose. Thank you for this reflection.
I love this. It felt like a meandering stroll that you invited me to savor with you.

Love having you with me as I meander.

Susie, You’ve done it again--made the seemingly ordinary, sacred! I love your writing and subscribe to “seventysomething”.
Thank you so much, Cynthia. It's really wonderful to reach people out there and be part of an exchange of ideas.
You write like the kind of person whose hands would be good ones to hold onto. Thank you.
Beautiful writing, Susie. You took me there with you. As Cynthia mentioned above, made the seemingly ordinary sacred.
Thank you for receiving my words, Stella. There's no knowing where that leads.
That's a very kind thing to say. It's wonderful to make that kind of contact on the screen with someone I haven't had the good fortune to meet.
