Brava, Catherine ! Great story ! One must continue to go through the doors , past complacency, and stare down the challenges to hone their mettle -especially as they age. Invigorating , and regenerating!

I'm with you, Catherine. We can continue to explore and learn, whether riding the high seas, walking paths in a forest, being immersed in a wonderful novel, having a conversation with a new neighbour. Your openness to a different experience is an inspiration.

Great story, thanks Catherine! And so relatable -- I used to cook on a barge, a yacht, and I lived on a sailboat that was more like a floating toolshed. Improvisation was key.

65, it's when many new adventures begin. At 78, I'm thinking your thoughts about life shrinking, maybe. Just hiked across Costa Rica, so that one is in the bag for this year... Never let your thoughts limit you. Find growth in some form or another....

Oh, I didn’t start late. At age 3, I was returned home by a policeman because I had wandered off to find frogs in the moat my older brother had told me about. I just never stopped 🤣

Twice I have sailed through days of Pacific hurricanes. My job was to provide health care to others. I have experienced the nausea of many.

Great gig and a fun story. It reminded me of “The Antarctic Book of Cooking and Cleaning” by Wendy Trusler and Carol Devin.

Live new stories. Age does not define us. Letting ourselves be narrowed into some box because of a number isn't what life is about. Well done for taking the adventure.

Me too. We’re in our 80 s and 18 months ago moved to Portugal, fulfilling a lifelong dream of living in Europe. Now every day is an adventure of new people, language, laws, foods and culture.
