well in reading this delicious and delightful post, I was thinking Pat had the most idyllic life until reading the end paragraph citing her curveballs in life. kudos to her to turning things around!
Ellie you are the fount of that enchantment . To Dumbledores and McGonagall grandparents everywhere, who ensure their grandchildren know there is magic in this world
Pat this is a wonderful capture of the joy of grandparenting. We are in the 6 week to 6 year old stage and are their lives at this moment. They treasure time with us and follow our rules. I know it won't always be so and that as they age friends and sports will take a part of them away but the foundation we have laid is epic. I think that 5 minute video is worth a LOT of money to capture those special moments. Bernie
My grandsons added so much to my life. We lived next door to them for about nine years and the older one lived with us when he went to college. It was such a gift. Recently, I have been given another gift - a great-granddaughter. She is a joy beyond belief.

I appreciate your comment, Mary Anne. You’re bang on about the gumption it takes to “turn things around.”

Apologies for the typo in the subtitle that went out by email. And thank you to the reader who drew it to my attention.
