You are such a great writer. I stayed single and have always felt like my life had a different proportion than others. I think I’ll ask my parents in heaven to be my matchmaker. Love your latest story about getting love or support from those around us. Thank you for sharing your life with us.
What a lovely love story. I appreciate the way your forged your own path, but then were open to it converging. With encouragement from the secret sign!
What a moving story, thank you, Isabella. For most of your recounting I thought that your life seemed a bit incomplete without a significant other to share life’s ups and downs with, notwithstanding what an independent and strong personality you project. I felt disappointed to read about your decision to stay “unattached” despite some long-term intimate relationships.
When I read your words, “. . . as I approached the last chapter of my life, . . . sometimes I’d think, wouldn’t it be great if maybe someday, a long-lasting love showed up.” I thought of an additional expression that I use from time to time, “Where there’s life, there’s hope.”
Your story concludes in such an optimistic way. I found your writing very meaningful and touching. Thank you for sharing with such authenticity.
That is so on-target: feeling like an extraterrestrial. I never wanted children. Ever. And that too raises eyebrows, except with cousins who felt the same way. And a few good friends.
"I was honest with myself despite the messages from others that my choices were strange" ... I think these are wise words for anyone, on any path. Thank you for sharing your story.💗
We each seem to find our path if we are wise enough to walk it even if not a much used path.
I’m 25 years into a relationship with a very good woman. Our relationship works because both of us have continued to live in our separate domiciles. We both need and want time alone that may extend for many days.

Thank you for feedback and perspective, Archie. :)
Just lovely. Life is messy. We all need to embrace joy as it flies. Glad you did. And tomorrow? We never know. Do we?
So true. Thank you, Dr. Dorree Lynn. :)
Two sayings handed down by my parents: Everything seems better in the morning, and This, too, shall pass. Lovely piece. Thank you.
Thank you, BKL. :)
A story that holds you until the end. Beautiful and honest.
Thank you, Ruth. :)
Touching. You are gentle with yourself for the life you have lived and gentle with you partner for the life you share. Thanks for this.
Thank you, Peter. :)
